Thread: create ISCSI volume

  1. #1

    Default create ISCSI volume

Have 3 HW Raid 5 units in place vgRaid01, vgraid02, vgRaid03, each with an ISCSI target.

Haved added a 4th HW Raid10 unit. When I go to create a new Volume group I have the options of New Volume Group, New Dynamic Volume or add to the various existing.

If I create a new volume group for Unit 4, when I create the Logical Volume, it does so as a NAS volume, not an ISCSI as needed.

Following the manual to double check, it suggests I should have an option to create an ISCSI volume in the volume Manager.... but there is no such option,

Am running DSS 5.0up63.7101.4562 64bit with 3 IP interfaces configures (although only using single 10GbE connection)

The number of allowed ISCSI volums isn't limited to the number of IP interfaces or something silly like that?

    Always something silly.

Put my browser into Capability Mode and the dropdown box appears (default select is NAS) hence why it would only do NAS voumes.

Use Firefox instead of IE, less issues.
