DSS, FC & VMWare - I/O Error

Hello,
I am evaluating DSS for use as a Fibre Channel (FC) Target for VMWare.
I have a Qlogic FC card installed in the DSS box, an Emulex FC card in the VMWare ESX 3.5 server in point to point configuration. Both FC cards are set to 4Gb point to point at bios level.

I have setup an FC volume with 512 block size, (otherwise VMWare cannot see partition), I am able to see/connect to the LUN'S & add the storage from VMWare.

Once the storage has been added, I am able to broswe the datastore & create directories.
If I try to copy a file to the datastore using Virtual Client, it fails with an I/O error.

I can create a new VMDK file for an existing VM, then partition/format/browse it & create folders, inside the VM (Windows), but when I try to copy a file (6 meg) to it, the VM locks up.

The above setup work perfectly well with SANMelody.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Dear Ugreen,

The provided scenario should work fine. And I didn't see such issue with other customers.
To verify the problem, please download the logs (Status->Hardware) and send them to support@open-e.com
