Thread: Initial iSCSI WAN replication

    Default Initial iSCSI WAN replication

I have 2 DSS boxes. One local, one at a data center. I need to replicate my 1TB iSCSI from the local box to the data center.
I have it set up and I can create and start the replication task. The problem is that it will take 14 days to reach consistency. We have a 1.54 Meg T1.
Any suggestions on how to speed up the process short of bringing the off site box in house, setting up the replication, then shipping it back to the data center? Will bringing it in house work?

    Suggestions are appreciated.

    Thank you,
    MK

Unless your ISP will give you a temporary faster link then best to bring back to replicate locally then stop the replication then start again once connected via the WAN.
    All the best,
