    Additional information:

If you are running Windows try using the Intel NAS Perf tester for involved tests:
    http://www.intel.com/design/servers/...rf_Toolkit.htm

If you want to test your GB Network, take a look at netspeed.exe
from OptimumX http://www.optimumx.com/download/ (Assuming you have
another Windows Box to test against.)

For quick tests, a 1GB ISO file, Xcopy and the "Timeit (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9d467a69-57ff-4ae7-96ee-b18c4790cffd&displaylang=en)" resource kit utility.

OK, thanx all for replies, I downloaded IOMeter. But: What testing parameter to you recommend (Read/Write/Random/Sequentiell/Workers/outstanding IOs/Blocksize ...)??

I played around with e.g. 32K 100% seq. read and up to 256 outstanding IOs to saturate the GB-LAN and I received about 100-110 MB/s on 1 GB-Link, up to 230 MB on 2 MPIO-Links (Round-Robin). But I don't know to compare these results with other DSS installations ... (good/bad performance, bottlenecks, ...)?

Can anyone publish his testing profil (IOMeter config file)?

Try with IOMETER 8KB block size, 65% read and 50% random configuration.
