Thread: Can't create snapshot

    Default Can't create snapshot

I have a unit "S0" with ~890 Gig space. I created a new logical volume with 800 Gig.

Now I'm trying to allocate the left space of ~89 Gig for snapshot, but it doesn't work. I get not error messages or something.

I guess the way Setup-> Disk Manager-> Function: Logical Volume Manager should be right?

    Thanks in advance,

    Christian

    Default

Correct once you have set up a logical volume then you should be able to create reserved space for the snapshot. Below you should see the function for the number of snapshots that will be available to use. Make sure that you have 4GB for swap and 1GB for system.
    All the best,

    Thumbs up Now it works!

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Now it works. I have overlooked a message under "Snapshot definition". It said something like "Function not available"(??), but then I was able to choose the number of snapshots.

    Regards,

    Christian
