    Default iSCSI-R3 to DSS upgrade

Does anyone know the product code for upgrading an iSCSI-R3-8TB to a DSS-8TB? My reseller only seems to be able to know the codes for 16TB.

According to Mendax that is the part number for the 16TB upgrade and costs nearly as much as if I were just to purchase a new 8TB DSS Key (#1534)

There is only one part # for the upgrade for iSCSI to DSS. DSS provides so many more features then the iSCSI-R3 and or NAS-R3.

So it's not possible to upgrade an 8TB iSCSI to an 8TB DSS? I can only upgrade to a 16TB DSS?

If so then that's fairly annoying because your product description does not make that clear at all and we purchased the 8TB iSCSI with the specific plan to upgrade to DSS if we determined the project required it. Lacking an upgrade to DSS my choices appear to be:

Buy an upgrade to 16TB DSS (~$790) or
    Buy a entire new 8TB DSS key (~$890 )

Since there is only a $400 difference in the price of iSCSI-R3-8TB and DSS-R3-8TB it appears we have just flushed $390 down the tubes one way or another.

This is the correct price and the part #, this part # is for all iSCSI-R3 versions on any variable of product capacity size. This part # has been in effect for a very long time and we have many users understanding the upgrade path for the DSS features that it offers.

We have other distributors that you might want to check on the prices, the link below from the bottom of the link provides "Recommended End User Price".
