Test with the DSS Demo-CD from link below. Burn the ISO image on to CD then boot system with Demo-CD to see if the motherboard NIC's are supported. Also you can still setup the system and use the Demo-CD if a replacement is needed and remove the Demo-CD and use the new DSS module and your data will be intact.
I tried Demo CD but the ping test failed.
I tried to update with final version update image but it said that No ISO image.
So I took out the old USB dongle in my old system and put the new USB dongle.
It works fine in my old system.
I can tell that the USB dongle is not the cause of network problem.
So It is not necessary to proceed RMA procudure.
You should ignore my e-mail to request RMA.
I'm sorry to have bothered you.
I have some questions.
1. I can not find NIC Marvell 88E8056 of Asus Z7S-WS in your hardware compatibility list.
Is this NIC chip not supported?
Do you have any plan to support this chip?
2. I have 2 USB DSS dongles.
The old one has square shape and it can be downgraded to version 1.3x.
But it is NOT recognized on my new system.
The new one has narrow shape and it can NOT be downgraded to version 1.3x.
This new one is supported on my new system.
Is the downgrade is possible only on the old type dongle but not on the new type?
Can you send new type USB dongle with the exchange of my old one?
Thanks for the update and emailing support regarding this. This NIC might not be supported as of yet. Not all NIC's are GPL approved and could be the reason more investigation will be needed.
Concerning the downgrading to the new module (long one), you will not be able to from this older version because of the size limitation. The older Square ones have a more capacity but work the same.
