Default remote cli from MAc or Win?

    Hi all,

I am trying to make use of the remote cli feature. I have enabled remote cli access and I can successfully connect, but I can't get any of the command, except F1, to work. It seems that my left alt and ctrl are not mapped correctly.

Can anybody tell me, how they managed to make use of the remote cli in either Windows, Linux or OS X.

I'd prefer OS X, but any other possibility would do as well.

    Cheers,
    budy

Okay, seems that I have figured it out.

In OS X you will have to configure Terminal.app to use the ALT-Key to work as the Meta-Key and this will enable the menus in Console.

Just in case anyone wants to know which settings work best for Terminal.app in OS X:

    In Menu Terminal -> Preferences

    Text Tab:
    - clone a template and name Open-E
    - text : bright yellow
    - bold text: orange

    Window Tab:
    - Titel: Open-E

    Keyboard Tab:
    - check "Use option as meta key" (important!)

    Advanced Tab:
    - Declare Terminal as vt102 (important!)
    - International character encoding Unicode UTF-8

Then use Menu Shell -> New Window -> select Open-E settings

That's it, this gets you a working remote cli on OS X.

    Cheers,
