The FTP program we were using is called SmartFTP (latest version). But we had also tried with some common comand line ftp clients. Upon your recommendation we have downloaded and installed CoreFTP (Windows); and as well we followed your connection guidelines. But there is no different behaviour: after the timeout of 60 sec. the client says "Can't establish connection".
Anyway, we have some doubts that this problem might have anything to do with the ftp clients. What might be the reason that after a fresh reboot (without having a client tried to connect) the DSS is already showing in Status/system: Status: FAILED for the Service: FTP (State: ON)?
