Default Backup share content to LTO

    hi all.
I'm new at open-e systems so you have to forgive me about some stupid questions!

I have 2 windows servers backing up every night to an iSCSI driver that directs to an open-e share.

Now I need to backup the share content to an LTO (that's my real problem).

The open-e detects my physical tape drive and I've labeled a new tape without any trouble.
When I try to create a new backup task it doesn't allow me to apply saying that I need to set a snapshot (is this mandatory?)!

For my purpose, am I doing it right? Is this the best scenario? (if not, could you assist me with the correct solution?)

    thanks in advance.

    best regards,

    tiago

    Default

Yes the Snapshot is mandatory when using our built in backup function. The Backup provides Full, Incremental and Differential with a task scheduler.

Below is more information as to what size to set your Snapshot backup and other backup information that might be of use to you.
