    Default Problem with Adaptec Storage Manager

    Hi world,

    i am using an Demo-DDS.
    I would like to connect to the raid controller (Adaptec ASC-44300 (Spirit-Lite RAID)) with ASM. Error message: "unable to connect to the remote system"

    My "normal" DDS ist working fine with the ASM. Is this a limitation of the demo version?

    We don’t have this card listed on our hardware compatibility list. Please try setting up the RAID set from the BIOS of the controller and check the volume manager to see if the volume is there or use the Software RAID tool in the gui from Setup > SW RAID.

    It may be from that you use default 64bit mode.
    In my experience, on 32bit mode ASM was working fine.
    At console, change OS to 32bit mode.
