Default DSS build 3511 and Intel SSR212MC2

    Hi,

yesterday night i tried to update my DSS build 3278 to build 3511 according to open-e's release notes.
I am using an Intel SSR212MC2R with 4GB RAM, one XEON 5310 CPU, and latest firmware (BIOS94, BMC 64, FRUSDR 46, SRCSAS144E RAID Controller Build 560).

The problem is that DSS cannot ldentify the network adapters correctly. After booting I get the message the screen "cannot find "eth0" device", and the interface is named eth2 then and is bound either to LAN1 or LAN2 of the Intel S5000PSL Server Board. So only one interface is working with build 3511, IOAT can also not be discovered altough enabled (according to the GUI). I tried the 32bit and the 64bit version, same effect on both releases. Anybody with knowledge about how to solve this issue out there?

Unfortately my bild 3268 USB DOM does not boot anymore (the well known "system currupted" error), also with the backup partition, so I'm running the demo CD build 3028 right now. 3028 can identify the NICs correctly by the way.

    Thanks,

    Lothar

LiLo - can you send the logs to support@open-e.com we want to look into this!

Also enable the Remote Support Service from the console enter CTRL + ALT + X then select the "Remote Support Service".

Make sure it's states "active and connected".
    All the best,

    Todd Maxwell
