    Default MS cluster 2003

    Hi,

I am attempting to migrate our file share cluster resource off of our old protocol (SAN IP) Storage Array onto our newer OPEN-E managed (iscsi) array. Basically, I'm backing up the data off one disk and restoring it onto the new one so that it maintains the file permissions.

However, I am experiencing some strange happening. At the moment when I attempt to restore on to the new ISCSi disk it will either crash the cluster node or shutdown the cluster service. I believe this is to do with the non exclusive access that the cluster nodes have on the disk.

Can anyone advise on settings in either OPEN-E that need to be set for a disk that is running on a cluster , on the cluster node itself or the Iscsi initiator?

Anyone running MS Cluster 2003 with an OPEN-E managed backend?

    OPEN-E ver :

    Model: Data Storage Server
    Version: 5.0up60.7101.3511 32bit

    MS Initiator :

    ver : 2.08 build 3825

    MS cluster :

    3 nodes on 2003 enterprise SP2, IBM blades HS20 8832

    Many Thanks!
