    Question How do I prevent Microsoft DNS from registering the iSCSI NIC?

    Hi,

    The problem is when the iSCSI NIC in the Windows 2003 server is being registered in the DNS database with the same host name as the Domain Controller is causing loss of connectivity for users on the LAN. product am using is stonefly Optisan.


    Why is Microsoft DNS registering the iSCSI network interface card (NIC) and How do I prevent Microsoft DNS from registering the iSCSI NIC?

    hi john,

    i had the same problems in the past.
    the solution is: don't mulithome a domaincontroller!!!

    there are solution outside that discribes how you can do that.
    but in reality you have too much problems with it.
