    Hi,

can anybody give a little rundown on what is new in v6? I haven't heard of a new beta since I saw this thread.

    Cheers,

More will be added later - we will provide full list near the end of the month on our product page. But here is a start:

    • Installable on any media: internal HDD, RAID Array, USB, SATA and IDE DOM, or any other bootable media
    • Enhanced Graphical User Interface
    • NDMP v. 4
    • Symantec Backup Exec backup agent (RALUS) to support versions 11, 12 and 12.5
    • Basic API Configuration
    • Asynchronous Volume Replication over WAN (pair to pair)
    • Improved random performance of iSCSI
    • Windows Server 2008 Clustering Support (persistent reservation SCSI-3)
    All the best,

I will email them to you as we are not finished with the notes as we need more time to work on them before releasing the final version. To many emails now

Default iSCSI volumes back-up via Backup Exec backup agent?

Symantec Backup Exec backup agent (RALUS) to support versions 11, 12 and 12.5
Will iSCSI volumes be able to be backed up, or just NAS volumes (ie. as a standard file level backup)?
I suspect not, but a nice option would be to backup entire iSCSI volume, with the agent automatically using DSS/Linux snapshot functionality in the background.
    Cheers.
