    Default Settings

    Todd,

I have found snppets of this fault around and about.

card is default at moment, but i have only changed the topology and speed options to
    P2P and 2gb to match my qla2310.

I have tried latest version and beta 6. The lite version from last jan does appear to load the driver but need to check again. Was that version of the software using the qla2xxx or the ips driver

Sorry to say I dont have this old Lite version on any of my systems. But you can look at the test.log to verify them. We would only look at the DSS V6 logs not the DSS Lite as we dont provide support for free versions.

We will need you to send in the logs to our engineers at support@open-e.com so they can look into this.
    All the best,

    Todd Maxwell

    Exclamation that's possibly a regression in V5?

    Hm,

we're using 2462s (dual-port version) behind a SAN switch, but upon installing the Atlanta trial I've had severe problems getting target mode to work.

I haven't had too much time (yet) to investigate further. I only got it working when starting the DSS *without any active fiber connection* (I unplugged the DSS' FC ports until the system was up) and only then booting the FC initiators. I had these symptoms before, but they got fixed a few releases ago.

Maybe you could try if this special boot sequence gets target mode working for you. I'll have to wait for the next maintanace window (at max 35 days away, that's when the trial is going to expire ) to check for myself.

    Regards,
    Jens

PS: Everything else in the Atlanta release is working for us, and better (it fixes quite a few problems that have been causing us major headaches). Therefore we had changed plans and have Atlanta in production use, without giving me a chance to flash the USB module ;-)
