I'm testing the latest version of the DSS and am particlarly interested in the ST SC support for the qlogic cards.
I began testing with a QLA2310 pci-x card, with good results.
I have spent 2 days trying to get my HPAE311A a OEM QLE2460 card working. The card is listed in the console but never gets a link when setup as a target.
If configured as initiator the link is up and the card is visable from /sys/class... on my SLES11
linux box using a QLA2310.
Out of interest I used a copy of DSS lite from Jan last year and the card does seam to work however the problem shifts to the nic in my HP ML110 im using to test.
Any ideas, and is there any chance of looking at a beta of version 6.
If i set the card to inisiator mode in the gui it is not listed, strange but on reboot my card gets a link up led. If I then use the drop down and select target mode the card and wwn are reported ok but i never get a link.
The C A F console reporps the card with no tools. My old copy of lite see's the card and lets me manage it from the console.
I know this card works.... strange that this is not working - did you restart again after setting to Target mode. Try with the new DSS V6 and see if that works.
I have found snppets of this fault around and about.
card is default at moment, but i have only changed the topology and speed options to
P2P and 2gb to match my qla2310.
I have tried latest version and beta 6. The lite version from last jan does appear to load the driver but need to check again. Was that version of the software using the qla2xxx or the ips driver
Sorry to say I dont have this old Lite version on any of my systems. But you can look at the test.log to verify them. We would only look at the DSS V6 logs not the DSS Lite as we dont provide support for free versions.
We will need you to send in the logs to our engineers at support@open-e.com so they can look into this.
