Hi!

Yesterday I tried to enable replication on my existing NAS Volumes which are connected to an ESX server. After applying my ESX lost the connection to the NFS Datastore (without a hint) and I was only able to reconnect by removing and adding the Datastore and restart all VMs.

Is this really true: After making changes to an existing Volume all connections are resetting? What kind of change affect the connection (replication, add space, add snapshot, ...)

Is there another way to reconnect to an ESX Datastore apart from removing and adding?
I think the VMs should survive a stale NFS file handle, but they must reconnect the same Datastore.

cheers
