    Default DSS V6 update 4: iSCSI storage data loss

    Hello All,

    I was using DSSV6 update3 and my xen servers and DSS servers are working fine. I tried DSS V6 update4(full version) and now there is no data on my iSCSI storage. All my virtual disk are gone.

    I can see blank iSCSI from my xen servers.

    Is there any other way I can see my iSCSI data?

    Thanks,
    Urvik

    Perhaps it switched iscsi target versions?
    I.E. SCST->IETD or vice versa.

    Default

    Yes it switched but Before I connect iSCSI to my XEN servers, I already change all the config on DSS server.

    check to see if you are in 32 or 64 bit mode.

    I am using 64bit mode.

    Finally I decided to formate and create new SR for XEN server so I formated the iSCSI when XEN asked me to do. Now I can able to connect DSS iSCSI to XEN 5.5 server. But when I try to create new VM or new virtual disk on iSCSI, I am getting "The attempt to create vdi failed".

    Thanks,
    Urvik

    You should use File-IO, BTW (not block-io) for most virtualized environment. I believe open-e's default is block-io.
