Is it possible?
Is it possible?
Why would you want to?
For easier maintenance. I can simply backup the whole thing or replicate it from hypervisor's prespective.....
I have the same question : http://forum.open-e.com/showthread.php?t=1501

geez goal, can't edit

more importantly, we can use VM to do replication testing etc.
Hi there i have run both the old and the new versions in esx version 3.5 and in 4.0. used them for testing the installer iso. and used for testing it as an san solution for esx. and it works
did you do some performance tests ?

actually how do we benchmark it?
native CPU can have up to 16 cores in total (2 CPU Nehalem with HT enabled), but Xen & vSphere can only have up to 8 cores right? In what circumstances would CPU usage become the key performance factor?
You could just try to copy things on the SAN, installing an OS, trying to see if it's fast or not...
