Default unable to switch to 64bit?

    hello,

we have a storage server running DSS v5.0 licensed for 24TB. our storage server has a 3ware raid controller model 9650SE-24M8. we wanted to switch to a 64bit system because we need a NAS volume with 20TB size. we switched the system architecture of our storage server to 64bit and restarted the machine. we delete the raid and initialized it, however the DSS tells me (after rescanning the units), that our unit created is not supported. the "unit manager" tells me exactly "NOT SUPPORTED, 32BIT".

i can't count the times how often we rebuld the raid now, changed sizes looked at the hardware settings if we might have forgotten something ... no chance.

any ideas what might cause this problem?

    thanks!

When changing to 64bit mode make sure that the older Volume Group data is backed up as this was in 32bit mode and you will need to remove the Unit from the Extended tools for Remove contents of Unit (Keep in mind this will delete your data). Then set to 64bit mode and save settings from the Console tools > Boot options > sys. architecture and restart the system. Now you will be able to create a Logical Volume greater than 16TB or 20TB.
    All the best,
