Hi all,
we're struggeling with various FC-related "symptoms" here and so I'm asking for others with more practical experience:
DSS is FC target, initiators are openSuSE and SLES10/11 machines connected via FC switch.
Should our FC connections survive a reboot of the DSS?
Of course the FC connection will not be available while the DSS is booting up, but I see no reason why data transfer should not be able to pick up where it stopped prior to the reboot of the DSS. I've seen options to increase the initiator's FC time-outs, so if these are high enough....
Can anyone confirm that I'm on the right track? Has anyone done this with DSS or with other solutions?
Regards,
Jens
