Sure, I've been struggling with this on XenServer 5.0 and 5.5. Currently I have no success logging into the XenServer 5.5 setup, but I remember modifying the PAM modules on 5.0 resulting in a working solution. Unfortunately, I've forgotten what I did...

But I assume PAM is the best place to start to troubleshoot the issue. If you should be able to figure out how to mod the pam setup, please let us know.

Default Same problem - can't login to LSI Storage Manager

I am having this problem too! My DSS server uses an LSI 9260-4i. I have tried 2 different Windows clients and both give the same error “Login failed : Exception while login!” when I try to login with username raid , password raid. I have disabled the firewall on the clients and everything.

Currently this is keeping me from being able to do RAID 10 online expansion, since without storage manager I would have to do the expansion from the WebBIOS (i.e. not online)

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Dave

What version are you running in the latest DSS V6 you can manage the controller from the GUI if using the Web Console tools from a PC try connecting with the last NIC port of the DSS server, this is a known issue with the controller and vendor.

    Fragend,
    thw

Try to restart the DSS V6 server, are you able to see your volumes?
