    Unhappy windows security permissions issue

I did a backup of a windows file share and restored it to a NAS-R3 file share, but I am having permissions problems.

All my directories in this share are inheriting permissions and I am unable to alter them. I enter the advanced security settings, disable inheritance and remove all groups and users, but these settings do not stick. After I do this, the list simply repopulates with the previous settings. I would like to customize my permissions on an individual folder within my share.

I am trying to do this as the owner account of the folder and I am using Windows PDC as my authentication method. I seem to recall that I had problems when I tried ADS.

    Default

Try to reset the ACLs and take out the Read/Write/Execute from the Groups and Others.
    All the best,

    Todd Maxwell
