Thread: Cannot remove NAS volume

    Default Cannot remove NAS volume

    Hi,

I created a 1TB NAS Volume and shared it out for NFS and SMB usage for a few weeks. I have since removed the share and all the associated user accounts. I even shut down the NFS service and reset the SMB connections. However, when I click on the X to delete the volume it comes back with an error and it does not delete.

I have production VM servers running off this DSS box and cannot afford to take it down without a major disruption. Any thoughts on how to get rid of this volume so it can be repurposed.

    Thanks
    mike

Well I did not hear from anyone in the last 4 days, so I went ahead and shut down my servers and rebooted the DSS. Once it came back online I was able to delete the NAS volume.

    Cheers,
    Mike
