I'm trying to test out DSS6 (lite) on a VMWARE ESX4i (Update 1). I've downloaded the installation iso file (dss6.0up14_b4221.oe_i.iso) and verified the checksum is correct (I've done this 4 times already). I first created a virtual machines with dual processors, 2GB of memory, and 2GB HDD w/ LSI SAS; then I attached the iso file downloaded as a bootable CDROM device. The problem is virtual machine will NOT boot the iso image file. On the same configuration, if I attach a different iso file (centos 5.4 or windows XP), it works... Any idea?
You have to power on the machine first, then click on the "CD-ROM" with a wrench and choose the iso location. You will probably then have to hit CTRL-ALT+INSERT to reboot the VM and hit ESC as soon as you see the VMware logo. Choose boot from CDROM.
