Trouble Formatting iSCSI Volume

After making the changes suggested in the article I was unable to connect to the iSCSI target at all.

I have formatted iSCSI with server 2000, 2003, 2008 along and vista with no problem.
I do not know if I ever tried with XP


you should be following these steps.
connect to lun with initiator
control panel -> admin tools -> computer managemant-> disk management

select lun -> initilize then right click to format

Are you changing any of the default settings when formatting ?
what size is the lun you are trying to format

did you select any settings when creating the LUN

what version of DSS do you have ?

This ended up being an issue with the hardware. I am only testing DSS right now. I am not really sure why this failed, but using a different server as the "san" resolved the issue.

What was the Issue ?

I think it was the Raid card. Since this is in a lab environment I just grabbed another server and I tried it there.
