Did try Firefox but that complained about "peer certificate invalid signature, error code sec-error-bad-signature"

Can you see the support calls that have been logged and the responses?

Access the console screen then enter CTRL + ALT + T then Boot options then System architecture then select 32bit mode. Save then reboot the system using CTRL + ALT + K, your volumes are ok it is because the DSS V6 defaults to 64bit mode.

I would also do a RAID health check for the Array to make sure that the drives or the Array are ok.

After resetting the USB speed on the system board from USB 2 to USB1.1, we were able to boot from the DOM and are back in business, volume groups, logical volumes and most importantly data are all good. That was a very interesting 12 hours!

While this is excellent news short term, does it mean the DOM is on the way out and should be replaced?

I have suggested to management that we upgrade to DSS - if we do upgrade, does that come with a DOM? Also, where is a good upgrade guide for DSS to be found?

There is a new price for the upgrade link below. You can reuse your existing DOM or other media - also there is upgrade instructions from the readme file and or the Quick start guide from the support page.
