Thread: Failover with MySQL (I know, I know)

Default Failover with MySQL (I know, I know)

I was playing around with MySQL server combined with Microsoft Failover server with 2008 R2. The virtual ip takes about 4 pings to failover, in which case I noticed MySQL stalls for a bit for the client (to be expected) but comes back and says that my database is not there. I have to restart the service for it to then see the database once again.

How can I get that to go away? Failover from MS doesnt know to restart the service if this happens. I tried lowering my settings from default to low, and lower, etc.. But I never got success.

Otherwise, I really like this software. I am testing it, and many others before buying...

    Default

I know I could put this in a master\master configuration and not use a SAN, but I thought I would test MySQL and perhaps Sybase sql anywhere..... Or maybe use Hyper-V instead, dont know yet.
