Thread: open-e ide-flash disk corrupt?

  1. #1

    Unhappy open-e ide-flash disk corrupt?

    we got a problem,
    open-e iscsi enterprise, eol
from one day to another the escsi-targets were gone, on the console: 3 files have data mismatch, after reboot the escsi targets were accessible, but no web-interface for open-e or
    raid-controllers.
So after some time the targets become inaccessible and appear again after reboot, but now no console output after counting up to 100% and still no webgui.
I tried to update firmware once more to last fw-update, but this not possible.
Seems to be a programmed out of order after end of life.

    any solution?

Default sorry, no programmed out of order

I put the ide-flash module into another machine. Here it was possible to reflash to the last FW-Version. Back in the original machine, it didn't boot into bios. So i removed a pair of
    Memory and it works again.
But before flashing the module, the machine gave me no advice for bad memory.

After re-flashing does the module work now in the system and does the module work in other systems if so there could be a motherboard issue.

    Default Module in original machine

    Hi To-M
The module works in the same machine, now with 1GB RAM, before 2 GB.

Customer try to flash, but by putting the module in another PC he get the error:

unable to enumerate usb device on port 6

Customer having only a serial number of the module. After he gets the module working again, or replace the module, is it possible to have it up and running it with the 16TB license as he hat it before?

Or does he need the license number? Can he resolve the licens number via Open-E? or...

Yes if he has the proper SN and he reflashes then he will have the 16TB.

They use the Open-E SAN I-SCSI version, not the DSS.

The Module isn't reflashable (getting error)

So he try to install software on disk, but which software does he need te download?

Is this iSCSI Enterprise or iSCSI-R3 both are End of Life.
