    Default LSI Logic Embedded SATA RAID / install to disk

    Hello ppl,

    i´m trying to install open-e DSSv6 (latest build) to my system disks(2 disks - RAID1) which are connected via an LSI Software RAID Controller, but i fail to do so. I deleted the RAID1 created with the controller software (Configuration Utility) as stated in the quick installation guide.

    I tried these steps so far:

    setting BIOS RAID Mode to : Compatible and Native
    Booting Live-CD, created a SW/RAID (RAID Level 1), rebooted
    trying the Software-Installer from Live-CD, rebooted
    using cfdisk with this options:

    my s-ata disks are recognized:

    dev/sda
    dev/sdb

    as RAID1

    selecting dev/sda and created a primary partition (type W95FAT32) 2GB from beginning, selected the rest for userdata

    Setting the BIOS Bootmodeselection to S-ATA Drive(s) - no luck

    The screen goes black with the cursor blinking on top left

    What is my problem here?

    Any suggestions appreciated...

    thx
