Can't connet to my adaptec card with ASM

Installed an adaptec controller and now trying to access it with the latest version ASM thats running on a windows server.

I used the IP, port 34,571, and raid/raid for the login/password

Tells me it can't connect.

Does anything else have to be done on the Open-E box to allow ASM on a remote server to controll the adaptec controller running under DSS? Verfiied there is not fw issue and both IP's (windows server and DSS) are on the same subnet

If you are certain you are doing everything correctly, try installing one of the ASM related small updates from the ftp.open-e.com.
I've run into this issue before and it's fixed me up.

Is there a special user/password that should be used? anonymous access does not show much at ftp.open-e.com

open-E support got me DSS V6 beta version 4940 which has support for ASM:

from release notes:
* tools for managing Adaptec RAID ver 6.50.18579 (Adaptec Storage Manager)

Works great!!
