Booting over network is not supported.
Yes, figured out too. How can this be ?
-10 for open-e for now.
Their staff don't seem to check this forum too
Hey Disco - try the DSS as target for EMBOOT PXE servers. Oh by the way DSS Lite is a FREE product so this means it is a community base.
Not sure from all your post you are happy with the free product. We are developing more features over time but we dont have the EMC staff of 100's of engineers to offer everything for free, hey maybe they have a free product anyone know of one for Disco?
LOL at this guy Disco, Todd I think he should make his own, write the scripts, and GUI and then offer it for free, then let him support it for free and lets see him sweat it out.
Disco - Check out NetApp to see if they have the PXE or DataCore or LeftHand there prices are not bad next to free. Heheheh what a newbie...
Not sure what to say on the -10 here but.....Originally Posted by disco
Lets be realistic, best practices on installing DSS require you setup certain things in the process, and even(on occason) require access to the RAID controller BIOS to setup a bootable LUN. Direct console access can be handy. Not all machines are created equal.
