    Default Intel X520

    Hi there!

Does anyone know whether 10Gbit SFP+ Intel networkcards with the controller 82599 are running under open-e. The compatibility guide says that the 82598 (the 82599 is not in the list) are running under 3518 but we have already 4758.

If you have one lying around, try it!

Most of the time, those things work, and if they don't, just nag support to get it working. It's usually pretty easy.

I always think it's a good idea to test the integration of hardware and the open-e software, anyways, no matter what the compatibility matrix says.

    Thanks for your reply.

I dont`t have one lying aroung. I tested with the 82598EB Copper 10Gbit and it worked fine.

We are planning to migrate from 1GBit to 10Gbit and are planning to buy several of these (up to 10). Each of them is around 500.- EUR so I first wanted to make sure that they are working. I wanted to order all of them at the same time because I am too lazy to first order 1 and then 9 ;-)

The cards arrived today and seem to be working.
I installed two 2 port cards so that we have 4 10GBit Ports now
In the webfrontend they appear as

Intel Corporation 82599EB 10-Gigabit Network Connection (rev 01)

Tomorrow I will make some performancetests.
