Question How does Open-e counts storage?

    Hello,

Based on what (connected devices, eg. dynamic disks, spare disks, Tape drives/libraries or not assigned units, volumes , etc.) counts Open-e storage?

I'm asking about, to choose the right license!

    Thanks in advance - Best,
    T.

All or any presented storage to the DSS V6 will be used and counted for, so if you have a RAID volume of 2TB (RAID 5) and a USB drive and or volume or drive used a Dynamic Unit of another 2TB then this will total to 4TB and you will need a DSS V6 4TB, we only see the usable capacity not the RAW (only in SW RAIDs do see the whole drive count. Tape drives we dont count for.
    All the best,
