Thread: very high latence when start 10 VM

    Default very high latence when start 10 VM

    hi
    i have create replication node with iscsi failover

    when i start 1 VM , all is ok , latence (VM reporting) is under 20 ms
    but when i start 10 VM latence up to 1500 ms ! and i need up 1 hour to start all VM

    actualy i use 1 nic (GB) for iscsi

    on my NAS i have raid 5 with SAS disk
    and i use hw raid Areca ARC 1880

    i need to restart vm for my trainning class

    you have an idea to get better result.

    With 1 NIC for the iSCSI Auto Failover is not recommended - see link below as you need a dedicated NIC for the Volume Replication.

    Also make sure the Write Back Cache set on the controller?

    i have 1 nic for isci
    and 1 for replication
    and one for management

    yes write back is enable

    Any chance that you can get another NIC and use the MPIO with VMware?

    What was the Bandwith settings for the Volume Replication set for and how many volumes are you running in the task?
