    Virtual Tapes?

    Physical drive - PowerVault 114T which is a IBM Ultrium.

    Can you label each tape as a separate tape device in the Backup devices.

    What To- said, and where are you having issues?
    It does show up as a device, correct? pools? creating tasks?

    I created a weekly pool, I can see my device...issues> please check my previous post.

    What if you delete all the tapes and start over then they are listed for the 5 tapes then you should be able to select the 1 tape and label it then use that in the backup devices. Are you running the latest release - 5087?

    I don't have a library. Just a tape drive.
    No, I use the previous version, but regarding to the release-notes it shouldn't be the point.

    I have to be physically in front of my tape device, insert the first tape, label it (open-e), eject, insert the next one, label it, etc. right?

    single tape unit...... yes.

    Each have to be labeled and you will have to be near it to eject.
