Thread: Network Configuration

  1. #1

    Default Network Configuration

I have two bonded interfaces, each with two physical NICs. The management is on 192.168.10.x and storage on 192.168.11.x. The 192.168.10.x network has the gateway defined correctly and has access to the DNS servers, which are on the same subnet. The storage interfaces are on separate switches and VLANs, but they are not isolated.

Upon login, I'm notified of DNS server errors and when I perform an update request, I get "routing error" displayed.

Please assist a newbie with getting this thing configured correctly. Thanks.

    Could be 2 things.

Your router is blocking traffic, not serving both subnets, or dns is not properly configured.

Or you need a proper gateway or static route set on that NIC in DSS.

OK, a few things, but that can point you in the right direction.
