I would agree, if the volumes are consistant, this isnt going to be an issue as the tasks can easily be recreated with the exact same names, after the change.

This type of change is not going to affect data on drive.

Since this is a Network change (so to speak), several things could be affected (beyond DSS).
I suggest looking at everything involved before making a change in this area.

And for the installation on a RAID Array (Storage, HDD, ... ) Did you create two LUNs ? as one should have the size 2GB to install DSSv6 on it, and the other LUN should have all your storage devices size that you can use to store your data on it.

And Do you have a real Hardware RAID or just a Softwar RAID ( or a RAID Controller that is built-in on your mother board ) ?
