    Question Samba PDC & Open-e

    Hello again,

Is it possible to join Open-e into a Samba PDC and If yes, there are known issues or a howto? I found several windows information and howtos but no linux samba...

    Best,

    1. Is it also possible If I use tdbsam on my samba PDC?
    2. What does the Open-e options mean: Erase TDB database and
    Allow trusted domains?

Not sure I understand you first question but the Erase TDB database is for the ADS and clears old cache in the DSS V6 for users and groups that was connected to a ADS before.

    1. Ahh - I see..thank you.

    2. My first question regards to the link from greg (PDC/ADS LDAP & Open-e Howto), but the samba server here doesn't use ldap...We use tdbsam.
So is it possible to add/join Open-e to my PDC If doesn't use Ldap?

    3. Allow trusted domains?

    Best,
    B.

Yes you can use the PDC Authentication method for windows.

    """""""""Windows (PDC)
In this case the NAS server will use the Windows Primary Domain Controller user database for user authentication. This method can be used with NT4/2000/2003 servers. If a Windows 2000/2003 server runs the ADS native mode, please use the Widows (ADS) method."""""""""""""
