I have a simple question, but it might be hard to explain.

I have 2 SANS's setup, identical spec.

The primary has been online for sometime with no failover config, but I had configured the LV's as source volume replication. Last night I built the secondary node and created it's LV's as destination and synced the 2 via the tasks list on the primary node.

My primary and secondary nodes have the following IP config.

Primary
eth0 202.XXX.XXX.XXX (webGUI interface)
eth1 172.1.0.1 (rep nic direct to second node)
eth2 10.1.5.100
eth3 10.1.6.100
eth4 10.1.7.100
eth5 10.1.8.100

Secondary
eth0 202.XXX.XXX.XXX (webGUI interface)
eth1 172.1.0.2 (rep nic direct to primary node)
eth2 192.168.1.91
eth3 192.168.2.91
eth4 192.168.3.91
eth5 192.168.4.91

Currently my VMWare machines are connecting via iSCSI MPIO to the 10.1.X.100 range on the primary node.

What I want to know is can I setup failover and set the VIP to say a 10.1.X.200 range, turn on/setup failover etc, add the new VIP ip's to my VMWare hosts as additional paths then remove the 4 original ones. Would this work allowing me no downtime to actually setup the failover?

I hope that makes sense.

Cheers
