Default ESX4 losing Disk Connectivity to FC Volume

    Example message

"Lost access to volume 496befed-1c79c817-6beb-001ec9b60619 (san-lun-100) due to connectivity issues. Recovery attempt is in progress and outcome will be reported shortly."

VMware states this is due to the heartbeat not being received for a period of 16 seconds.

This only happens with FC volumes iscsi are ok, any help would be appreciated. I looked at the tests.log but it means nothing to me

Look at the dmesg.2 log and look for the Qlogic info to see if there are any errors, nothing much will be in the test.log for the FC HBA.

Can you dump the log here so I can look at it - only from starting from the raid controller down.

Just copy the text from the log from the starting point of the RAID controller down to the bottom.

Send them in from your user portal and send the whole logs we will be looking out for them. Or use pre-sales@open-e.com but faster if you use your user portal.
