DSS to DSS6 upgrade

So when you did the restore from the settings.cnf and rebooted the DSS V6 are you able see all the shares and targets?

Unfortunately not, that's my problem. I didn't type in my license key I just left it in "demo mode" could that be my problem ?

Key is not the issue, try to go to the NAS Resources and click on the Specify path to add your share and see if it comes available and for the Targets create a new one and see if you can access it.

I was worried to do this, will this affect the existing data ?

Now as you upgrade to the DSSv6, it is recommended to save your settings/configurations (MAINTENANCE -> miscellaneous -> Function: Save settings) in a safe place in case you will need them for future.
