IOError: [Errno 28] No space left on device

Hello,

we have the following problem. We need to delete volume group and shutdown the DSS to remove some storage, but when tried to execute Console or Extended Tools we get "IOError: [Errno 28] No space left on device". We cannot also open the web console neither login via ssh Can we try to hard restart the server? Is there any other possibility ?

Sounds like were the DSS V6 is installed on it is filling up - yes try to do the hard reset or enter CTRL ALT K then select restart.

Thanks for fast response, but is there possibility for not booting because there is no space? I think if we can login after hard restart we can delete the older versions to get some free space?

on reboot, some space will be freed up automatically as logs are cleared and compressed.
and it is a good idea to remove old logs, and old updates.

Yes, now I have 1.2G free space, but when i try to access extended tools, after confirming with yes it returns to welcome page without asking for administrator passwod or if it asks for password after pressing any key it returns again at welcome page. Shoud i try to update with latest version ?
