Lets back up to the beginning for a second.....

Are you trying to install from a cd?
Or are you booting from a USB Drive, or other boot media?

If you are booting from another boot media, how was DSS installed there in the first place?

This ended up being a RAID issue. Server is back online.

Just out of curiosity did you have the boot volume on the raid array, or was it a separate usb or sata dom?

i think, problem is that I did not set up this system, but from what i can read from the documentation there is 16 , 1TB disks and the Open-E is started from USB DOM

Problem solved, new boot media in use, only problem now seems to be slow respond to the offline avtivation file request that was sent to activation@activation-key.com
license is currently expired so no access to the files on the server
