    Wow, fast answer. THX.

You're right, I have two DSS V6 in the same configuration.
Setup as shown in the pdf, networks 192.168.0.x to 192.168.3.x. Left side is .230, right side .240.
SCSI ID is on both sides 0000000000000000 and LUNs are 0.
AUXs are set, checked every setting twice (or more ).

I know the video, I have seen some good webinars with a german presenter (Janusz Bak).

    Still doesn't working.

    Are you using XenServer ?
As you can find more PDF files about Failover at our library:

Also you can save your old settings from your old system (DSSv5) and apply them to your Trial DSSv6. (some settings may not work).

To save your configuration and setup settings from the GUI in MAINTENANCE -> miscellaneous -> Function: Save settings. ( same place to restore "reload" them).

Give me the setup for Source and Destination. Also is the Volume Replication completed?

    Source:

IP of the Volume Replication (Aux)
    Primary Node IP (Aux)
    Ping Node
    VIP

    Destination:

IP of the Volume Replication (Aux)
    Secondary Node IP (Aux)
    Ping Node
    VIP
    All the best,

Yes, I am using Citrx Xen 5.5 with the V5 and in the new scenario 5.6 with the v6.
But with the old v5 I am not using failover, so export/import settings is obviated.

The pdf "How to setup iSCSI Failover with XenServer" helps me to configure the xen, but unfortunately I don't get to that point. So, how far does the Xen has to be configured, when I am trying to start the failover service? Does he play any role at this point? Configuring the Xen in the mentioned way let the dss service still tell me "Configuration of both nodes finished with errors".

    Thanks again.

For the Auto Failover XEN is not needed, we are just trying to get an over view.

First, at this point, great support! I am exalted.

Does this message in the syslog helps you?

    COMMAND=/var/nasexe/Heartbeat/failover_monitor
[user.err] cl_status: [13698]: ERROR: Cannot signon with heartbeat
    [user.err] cl_status: [13698]: ERROR: REASON: hb_api_signon: Can\'t initiate connection to heartbeat

It looks like some connection issue - if you want send me a privet email in the forum and I will send you a Netviewer session to look at your system.
