But, the way the replication works, it will simply resend an incomplete packet, or wait for the other node to report back. Using metadata, the nodes can stay in sync.
Typically when I see WAN replication, its over dedicated fiber, or several dedicated T connections, using VPN as well since replication ports are dynamic to some degree (it does have a fixed range)
Bandwidth can be throttled when the tasks are setup, so you dont overload the pipe.
