Default How is WAN replication supposed to work w/o Async mode?

Or has WAN replication been removed?

Full version of DSSV6: WAN replication still exists, and is synchronous.

Hmm.. this is problematic for networks where there is alot of latency or not sufficient bandwidth.

What settings do you recommend tuning when switching from LAN to WAN replication?

    Understandably latency is of concern.
But, the way the replication works, it will simply resend an incomplete packet, or wait for the other node to report back. Using metadata, the nodes can stay in sync.
Typically when I see WAN replication, its over dedicated fiber, or several dedicated T connections, using VPN as well since replication ports are dynamic to some degree (it does have a fixed range)
Bandwidth can be throttled when the tasks are setup, so you dont overload the pipe.
