Default DSS v6 time offset, adjustable while running?

    Hi,

I search the forum for clues, but i did not find any that soon:

** Our DSS v6 time is offset by 15 minutes **
Seems like a bug to me, it used to be correct ..

    - the DSS does have an NTP server set (locally, which is functioning ok)
    - the DSS does not have a gateway configured ..

-the Dss has about 10 active iSCSI targets (to Citrix XenServer 5.6.0)
    - the Dss has about 10 active NFS targets (to Citrix XenServer 5.6.0)

1.) If i correct the time, either manually, our force an NTP update, does this make
my iscsi and NFS targets go havoc?

2.) If i enter a gateway, so we can use the "check update" functionality for instance, does this make the NFS/iSCSI go through a reset ?

I hope you can help us out here ..

    Kind Regards,

    Mario

For the time, your servers should be time sync between each other, so no big different in the time between them ( max 5 min different ).

And for creating gateway, the following KB will help you:
    http://kb.open-e.com/How-to-setup-ga...VIP)-_912.html

And if you mean by " go through a reset" that the system will restart, then no, there is no need to reset the system after creating gateway.
