    Default Resize NFS Volume

    Hi,

    I resized a nfs volume from 750GB to 1250GB.
The logical volume statistics new shows:

    lv0002 1250.00 1207.70 42.30 96.6%

    Where are the new 500GB??

If I mount the nfs share:

    192.168.0.50:/backup 786329600 741978624 44350976 95% /media/test

    the old size is display.

    Whats wrong??
Do I have to do special things after resize a nfs share??

    Thank you for help.

    Regards,
    Oer2001

That seems strange does this happen on other systems? Maybe try to stop and restart the NFS from the Share and the NAS Settings.
    All the best,

Does this happen on other NFS mounts from the other systems on the network?

Default size problem after resizing a NFS shared volume from Open-E

    Dear Support,

We have encountered another problem, we have an nfs share
volume, its size is 29250.00GB (resize from 16GB to 29250GB and
add a snapshot volume (9757.50GB) after resizing), but when we
mount the share volume from FreeBSD 8.2-STABLE (64 bit) or openSUSE
Linux 11.4 (32bit), they all show me the mounted NFS volume shared from
    Open-e is ONLY about 16TB!

    Under FreeBSD 8.2 64bit:
    df message:
    10.0.5.153:/data1 17179738048 7009444 17172728604 0% /disk1/NFS_Open_E
    df -H message:
    10.0.5.153:/data1 17T 17G 17T 0% /disk1/NFS_Open_E

    openSUSE 11.4 32bit
    df message:
    10.0.5.153:/data1 17179738112 17249280 17162488832 1% /NFS_test
    df -H message:
    10.0.5.153:/data1 17T 17G 17T 0% /disk1/NFS_Open_E

Is it a limitation of Open-E try version?

    PS.
1.We have try reboot Open-E and every NFS Client!
2.The system log has sent to support@open-e.com

    Best Regards!

It looks like the logical volume was resized but for some reasons the file system (xfs) on it wasn't. That's why when you mount it, you still see the old size.
Most probably the file system needs to be manually resized. A remote support connection (RSS) will be needed for further investigation. Please contact Open-E support to solve this problem.
